About M3U8 Player
M3U8 Player is a free, no-ads browser toolkit for people who need to play, test, debug, convert, trim, and clean HLS or M3U8 streams without installing desktop software.

Why this site exists
HLS work is often split across many tools: a player, a validator, a converter, a command line, and a playlist editor. This site keeps those common jobs in one browser tab so engineers, editors, developers, and IPTV users can move faster.
What we build
Playback and diagnostics
Play live or VOD HLS streams, inspect variants, test encrypted streams, attach subtitles, and run link health checks.
Browser conversion
Use FFmpeg WebAssembly to export MP4, extract MP3, trim HLS clips, compress video, and convert common local video files.
IPTV playlist tools
Import M3U or M3U8 playlists, play channels, edit names and groups, remove duplicate URLs, and export a cleaned list.
Privacy by design
The core workflow runs in the browser. Playback, conversion, local history, favorites, subtitle handling, and playlist editing stay on your device unless you choose to fetch a remote URL or enable the optional CORS proxy.
Boundaries
M3U8 Player is for legitimate playback, testing, troubleshooting, and conversion. It does not bypass DRM systems, paywalls, or access controls, and it should only be used with streams you are allowed to access.
